Alberto Azuara-Grande
Alberto Azuara
, PhD in Tourism from Universidad Rey Juan Carlos (Spain) since 2018. Bachelor's Degree in Tourism from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, and Master's Degree in International Tourism Management from Universidad Rey Juan Carlos. He conducts multidisciplinary research in various areas related to tourism. His two main lines of research focus on the management of cultural destinations in rural areas, as well as the analysis of tourist behavior and the adoption and use of new tourism technologies. He has published in indexed journals listed in JCR-WOS and SJR-Scopus, as well as in high-quality journals included in ESCI, Latindex, among others. He has also authored several book chapters published by prestigious national and international publishers. He has participated as a speaker at renowned conferences and congresses and has collaborated as a researcher in a regional research project. Regarding teaching experience, he has been teaching since the 2018/2019 academic year in various undergraduate, double degree, master's, and doctoral programs, serving as the lead instructor for several courses. He has accumulated over 1,000 hours of undergraduate teaching and more than 70 hours at the master's level. He was awarded one teaching merit in the 2021 DOCENTIA program, with an “Excellent” rating. In terms of academic management, he currently serves as Academic Exchange Coordinator for the Erasmus+ program, Deputy Coordinator of the Bachelor's Degree in Tourism, and Coordinator of the Blended Learning Bachelor's Degree in Tourism at URJC.
