Akindele Segun Afolabi
Akindele Segun Afolabi
is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, University of Ilorin. He received the Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Ilorin, Nigeria, and the Ph.D. Degree in Computer Science and Systems Engineering from Kobe University, Japan. He was the recipient of the prestigious Japanese Government MEXT Scholarship Award from 2009 to 2012. Dr. Afolabi is a registered engineer (R.Engr.) with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN). He has several scholarly publications in journals and conference proceedings, some of which are indexed in Scopus/ISI. He currently serves as a Section Editor with the Nigerian Journal of Technological Development (NJTD), focusing on electrical and electronics engineering, computer engineering, applied mathematics, and computer science. His research interests include machine intelligence, cloud/fog and high-performance computing, wireless network densification and IP convergence, VANET, and D2D communications.
