Akiko Ogawa

Akiko Ogawa is a Professor at College of Image arts and Sciences, Ritsumeikan University. She received her Ph.D. from the University of Tokyo in 2014. Her research focuses on empowering marginalized communities through media, using narrative techniques and content production to amplify their voices. She has published books (in Japanese) on Digital Storytelling and on radio as a medium for care. Currently, her work centers on developing sustainable models for journalism within local communities.
