Akhilesh Prajapati
Akhilesh Prajapati
is a dedicated cancer biologist and academician with a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and extensive experience in teaching and research in Biotechnology. Currently serving at GSFC University, Dr. Prajapati leads projects focused on endocrine-related cancers, with a special emphasis on prostate and breast cancer. His research delves into cancer stem cells, metabolic vulnerabilities, ferroptosis, and therapeutic resistance, utilizing advanced tools such as CRISPR/Cas9, exosome-based delivery, and multi-omics integration. Dr. Prajapati has received prestigious funding, including grants from GSBTM, Government of Gujarat, for targeting mitochondrial OXPHOS in castration-resistant prostate cancer. In addition to academic responsibilities, He actively mentors students, organize International/ National-level symposia/ conferences, and engages in science communication. Dr. Prajapati is also a recognized reviewer for reputed journals such as Scientific Reports, Cell Signalling, and JOVE. He also served as guest editor and editorial member for many journals and regularly participates in interdisciplinary collaborations aimed at translational cancer research.
