Ajay Kumar
Dr
Ajay Kumar
holds a B.Tech in Biotechnology, an M.Tech in Environmental Science and Engineering, and a Ph.D in Life Sciences (Environmental Sciences) from Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. He was a UGC-BSR Fellow and qualified the National Eligibility Test (NET-UGC) in 2015. Previously, he served as a Senior Project Associate at Punjab Biotechnology Incubator, Mohali, under Mission Tandrust Punjab. He also worked as a Postdoctoral fellow at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, USA. Currently, he is an Assistant Professor at the University Centre for Research and Development (UCRD), Biotechnology Engineering and Food Technology, Chandigarh University, Mohali. His research focuses on Cancer Chemoprevention using Natural Plant Products. He has authored more than 45 publications in high-impact journals such as Antioxidants, Journal of Functional Foods, Environmental Science and Pollution Research, Frontiers in Pharmacology, Molecules (MDPI), Biomedicine and Pharmacotherapy, Food and Chemical Toxicology, among others. Additionally, he has published two books, 9 book chapters, and has more than 750 citations, an h-index of 15, and an i10-index of 20 (Google Scholar). He has presented his research at various international conferences and is a life member of the Environmental Mutagen Society of India.
