Abraham Pouliakis

Abraham Pouliakis is physicist, holds a M.Sc. in electronics and radio-communications, and a Ph.D. from the Medical School (University of Athens) related to the application of neural networks in cytopathology. Since 1993 has participated in numerous National, European and European Space Agency Research projects related to ICT artificial intelligence applied in medicine, collaborative systems, e-learning, e-health and GIS. Currently is senior researcher in the Department of Cytopathology, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, School of Medicine, as well as responsible for quality control and assurance of the laboratory. He more than 170 publications in international peer reviewed scientific magazines, more than 120 presentations in international and Greek conferences and is co-author of seven books chapters. His research interests are related to information and communication technology, image/signal processing and artificial intelligence including their applications in the fields of industry and health.Dr Pouliakis is an active peer reviewer in more than 8 scientific journals.
