Himanshu
, a Ph.D scholar with a specialization in Fruit Science at Lovely Professional University, Phagwara, Punjab. With a deep focus on horticultural research, he is particularly interested in addressing critical issues in fruit crop management, specializing in the study of fruit drop mitigation and physiochemical properties of fruits. He has a strong academic foundation in horticulture, having completed his master’s degree in Horticulture (Fruit Science) at Lovely Professional University, Phagwara, Punjab and graduated from Maharishi Markandeshwar University, Ambala, Haryana. His areas of interest include post-harvest technology, precision agriculture, hydroponics, nursery management, and biotechnology. He is particularly focused on optimizing post-harvest quality, advancing soilless cultivation methods, and integrating biotechnological approaches to enhance crop resilience and productivity. He has made significant contributions to the academic community, with 12 publications to his name, including research articles, review papers, and book chapters published in well-regarded NAAS and Scopus-indexed journals. His research outputs highlight his commitment to advancing horticultural science and contributing practical insights for improving crop quality and resilience. Beyond academia, he actively engages in professional development, attending workshops, conferences, and training in areas like mushroom cultivation, Hi-tech seedling production and nanotechnology, further enriching his expertise. His dedication to research, combined with hands-on learning and participation in various scientific gatherings, positions him as a promising young researcher with a strong foundation in horticulture and fruit science.
