SPECIAL RESEARCH CLUSTERS

As part of efforts to improve member services, IRMA recently initiated Special Research Clusters (SRCs). The primary aim of IRMA SRCs is to help develop contacts and maintain communication among its members with similar research interests. Communication within IRMA SRCs can be done in several ways - list servers, web sites, newsletters and also online discussion groups. SRCs can also offer workshops/tutorials, share bibliographic databases, as well as work with IRMA journals editors on special issues.

IRMA is pleased to announce the following SRCs:

Interested in participating in the above SRCs? Simply check out the 'How to join' link at above websites.

Call for Proposals

IRMA is seeking proposals from its members to initiate new Special Research Clusters. Proposals should follow the following structure:

  • Mission and Purpose
  • Describe the research cluster content area (ie. motivation)
  • Discuss the proposed activities and services offered (ie. how you plan to achieve mission and purpose)
  • List possible "founding" members of SRCs including their affiliation
  • Include a brief CV of the member submitting the proposal
  • focusing on the member's expertise, knowledge and publications in the proposed SRC.

Only proposals from current IRMA members will be accepted. The potential SRC topic areas could include, but are not limited to the following: Strategic IS, Global IT, IT in Supply Chain Management, Cross-Cultural IS Research, Qualitative IS Research, IT in Healthcare Management, IS Education, Intelligent Systems, and Database Management.
