Description
Advancements in computer-generated sensory technologies have made the concept of believable virtual environments a reality. New questions are raised as to how these can be applied in diverse disciplines such as arts, business, commerce, defense, design, education, entertainment, gaming, manufacturing, science, and telecommunications.
The International Journal of Virtual and Augmented Reality (IJVAR) presents interdisciplinary research which span the social and physical sciences. Article types include full research papers (5,000 - 7,000 words), work-in-progress reports (2,000 words), and scholarly perspectives of virtual and augmented reality concepts (2,000 words).
Mission
The International Journal of Virtual and Augmented Reality (IJVAR) publishes research that focuses both on novel paradigms and in applied research that explores and extends the use of the technologies of Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR). The journal publishes solutions dealing with real-life issues in different knowledge domains from engineering and science to arts and humanities, including ad-hoc solutions. The journal encourages interdisciplinary applied research and presents a forum for novel solutions considering a wide range of techniques that includes mixed reality, simulation, human-computer interaction, and collaborative spaces. IJVAR is designed to provide scholars, practitioners, academics, and others using virtual and augmented reality technologies, rigorously informed studies that can support decision-making activities.
