Neurodegeneration is a key feature of several diseases that are referred to as neurodegenerative diseases. The process of neurodegeneration is not well-understood so the diseases that stem from it have, as yet, no cures. Md. Sahab Uddin (Ed.)
Md. Sahab Uddin is a Registered Pharmacist and a Research Scholar in the Department of Pharmacy at Southeast University, Dhaka, Bangladesh. He has published copious articles in peer-reviewed international scientific journals. He has also authored and edited seven books, including Advances in Neuropharmacology: Drugs and Therapeutics; Handbook of Research on Critical Examinations of Neurodegenerative Disorders; and Oxidative Stress and Antioxidant Defense: Biomedical Value in Health and Diseases. Md. Uddin also serves as a guest editor, editorial and reviewer board member of numerous scholarly journals. He is a member of many national and international scientific societies. He has developed five neuropsychological tests for the estimation of memory, attention, and cognition. Moreover, he is the Founder and Executive Director of the Pharmakon Neuroscience Research Network, an open innovation hub bringing together neuroscientists to advance brain health. He received his BPharm in 2014 securing a first position from the Department of Pharmacy, Southeast University, Bangladesh. Md. Uddin’s research interest is how neuronal operation can be restored to abate Alzheimer’s dementia.
Md. Shah Amran (Ed.)
Md. Shah Amran is a Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. He has received his BPharm and MPharm from the Department of Pharmacy, University of Dhaka, Bangladesh and his PhD from the Department of Pharmacology, University of Yamanashi, Japan. Md. Amran received various scholarship and Chancellor´s award for this outstanding academic records. He is a member of numerous professional bodies and working for the progress of the pharmaceutical sector in Bangladesh. Md. Amran has more than 20 years of academic experience in the field of pharmacy. He supervised the research of many PhD, MPhil and MPharm students. Md. Amran is an editorial and reviewer board member for many journals. He is actively engaged in research and has published more than 100 research articles in the national and international peer-reviewed journals and numerous abstracts in conference proceedings. Md. Amran authored 9 books titled
