Zulfadzlee Zulkiflee
, a PhD candidate in historical linguistics in the Malay Language, Linguistics and Literature programme at the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, Universiti Brunei Darussalam. His research focuses on the classification of language variants within the Baram–Tinjar subgroup, the reconstruction of proto-forms, and the tracing of the phonological, lexical, and migration histories of indigenous communities in Borneo. Combining comparative linguistics with immersive fieldwork in Brunei and Sarawak, his work advances Austronesian subgrouping theory while prioritising community-engaged and open-access linguistic documentation.
