Wahira
, M.Pd., is a senior academic specializing in Educational Management and Arts Education at the Faculty of Education, Universitas Negeri Makassar. With a functional position as Lektor Kepala (Associate Professor, IV/c), she has demonstrated an outstanding commitment to higher education, research, and community engagement over the span of more than 30 years. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Dance Education from Universitas Negeri Surabaya, followed by two Master’s degrees—one in Educational Management from Universitas Negeri Makassar and another in Arts Education from Universitas Negeri Semarang. Her academic trajectory culminated in a doctoral degree in Educational Management from Universitas Negeri Semarang in 2012. Prof. Wahira has made significant scholarly contributions through research funded by national grants, focusing on school leadership, supervision models, curriculum development, and the integration of local cultural values in character education. She has published extensively in national and international journals and has authored nine academic books. Her innovative work has been recognized with multiple registered copyrights (HKI) in the area of educational models. Her expertise is further reflected in her supervision of over 240 undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral students. Prof. Wahira remains actively engaged in scholarly dissemination through conference presentations and continues to advance the discourse in educational management and pedagogical innovation.
