Vivian Gonsalves
Vivian Gonsalves
, Ph.D. is a Clinical Associate Professor in the School of Special Education, School Psychology, and Early Childhood Studies. Her scholarship focuses on early literacy development, teacher education, mentoring, and reading instruction and remediation, and online instruction. She is currently an instructor of special education and literacy development courses in various programs in the College of Education and provides professional development to in-service educators and other related service professionals in implementing assessments and designing instruction for developing readers. Additionally, she is one of the associate directors of the University of Florida Literacy Institute (UFLI), a center housed in the College of Education, which provides technical assistance to school districts in literacy initiatives. Dr. Gonsalves is also the program coordinator for the Dyslexia Certificate program at UF. This is an online program for educators and other professionals interested in working with students with dyslexia.
