Vildan Katmer
Vildan Katmer
is an Assistant Professor and the Head of the Department of Mathematics and Science Education at Maltepe University, Faculty of Education. She began her academic career by completing her undergraduate degree in Mathematics. She earned a non-thesis master’s degree in Mathematics Education in 2009, followed by master’s degree in Mathematics Education at Marmara University in 2013, and completed her Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction at Yıldız Technical University in 2019. Her research interests include mathematics education, teacher education, curriculum development, the integration of technology into teaching and learning processes, and qualitative research methods. She continues her academic publications in line with her research interests. In addition to her academic work, Dr. Katmer actively participates in various social responsibility projects. She regularly delivers seminars and training sessions for in-service and pre-service teachers as well as students.
