Uğur Bakan
, Ph.D., earned his doctorate in journalism from Ege University, İzmir, Türkiye, in 2014. He is currently an Associate Professor at İzmir Katip Çelebi University, Türkiye. Dr. Bakan has made significant contributions to media and digital culture, having authored or co-authored over 50 scholarly works. His expertise spans visual communication design, digital media systems, social media, and game studies. Dr. Bakan's research in visual communication design explores how visual elements influence communication and perception. In digital media systems, he examines the impact of digital technologies on information dissemination and user interaction. His work on social media delves into the dynamics of online networks, their influence on public opinion, and their role in modern communication strategies. In game studies, he investigates video games’ cultural, social, and psychological aspects and their educational potential. Throughout his career, Dr. Bakan has explored the intersections of technology, media, and society, enriching academic discourse and providing insights into digital communication. As an educator and researcher, he continues inspiring and mentoring students and colleagues, fostering a deeper understanding of the digital world's complexities and potential.(
