Trisha Poole
(SFHEA) is an inspiring Academic Developer at the University of Southern Queensland, Australia. She has worked in higher education institutions for over 20 years, both nationally and internationally. Through her work and research, she supports educators in enhancing their learning and teaching practice. Her research interests include teacher professional development, online pedagogies, learning design, academic development, educational technologies, higher education, and the scholarship of teaching and learning. Trisha's career objectives are to be innovative in presenting materials that inspire learning and encourage professional development and growth within the higher education realm; to be a leader, an innovator, and an inspiration in education and knowledge acquisition; and to coach, mentor, and support academics in achieving success in their teaching and learning. Trisha most recently won the 2023 ASCILITE Innovation Award for her innovative work in supporting students to provide immediate feedback on their online learning content, activities, and experiences.
