Tom F. H. Smits
Prof
Tom F.H. Smits
is a Professor in English and German Foreign Language Teaching and German Variational Linguistics at the University of Antwerp in Belgium. Next to this long-standing engagement in foreign language education, he developed further expertise in the field of urban education, differentiation and diversity, and multiple perspective learning as an English, German and CLIL teacher educator at the Antwerp School of Education (Faculty of Social Sciences). He has been lecturing on urban education since 2015 and has been a member of the International Research Network on Equity in Youth Education and Training since its inception.
