Tami Butler Morton
Tami Morton
is a Professor and Assistant Department Head in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction at East Texas A&M University, where she has been teaching and facilitating students for over ten years. She teaches undergraduate, master’s level, and doctoral classes in reading foundations and literacy. Her research interests include reading foundations, writing, preservice teachers, cultural pedagogy, and multicultural children’s and adolescent literature. She is currently an evaluator of the primary level books for the International Literacy Association (ILA) book awards. Dr. Morton is also an associate editor for the Texas Journal of Literacy Education.
