Syamsiarna Nappu

Dr. Syamsiarna Nappu , M.Pd., is a senior lecturer in the field of Technology in Teaching and Learning English at Universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar, Indonesia. She holds the academic position of Associate Professor (Lektor Kepala) and has extensive experience in integrating digital platforms into English language education. Her academic expertise focuses on improving teaching effectiveness through educational technology, with an emphasis on vocabulary development, online learning environments, and project-based instruction. Her research portfolio includes a wide range of studies on mother tongue interference in EFL writing, students’ experiences in synchronous online learning, and the use of applications such as Toontastic, Edmodo, Schoology, and visual media in large classroom settings. These works reflect her commitment to making English language instruction more accessible, interactive, and contextually relevant. In addition to her scholarly contributions, Dr. Syamsiarna is actively engaged in community outreach and teacher training, promoting the use of technology to enhance both teaching practices and student learning outcomes. Her approach blends pedagogical theory with practical application, making her a leading advocate for digital transformation in language education. She continues to mentor pre-service and in-service teachers in adopting innovative, student-centered methods for English language teaching in the digital age.
