Dr.
Stephanie Payne
is a licensed master social worker and high-impact facilitator with nearly 20 years of experience dedicated to supporting children and families, advancing workforce development, and mentoring future social workers. Her expertise spans mental health, child welfare, higher education, and organizational capacity building. As the Program Director of the Social Work Program at South Carolina State University, Dr. Payne leads the education and training of future social workers through innovative and impactful instruction. Dr. Payne earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. She holds a Master of Social Work from the University of South Carolina and a Doctor of Social Work from Tulane University
