Soraia Oueida

Soraia Oueida was born in Brazil. She holds a Ph.D. degree in Computer and Industrial Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Bucharest and a Master’s degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Balamand. Oueida worked in both industry and academia. She is now holding the role of Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Engineering at the American University of the Middle East, Kuwait. She is an IEEE member and her research interests include but are not limited to AI and Machine Learning, Workflows, Petri Nets, Smart Cities, Blockchain, and Healthcare. Her first book was published in 2020 with Taylor & Francis entitled, Modeling a New Computer Framework for Managing Healthcare Organizations: Balancing and Optimizing Patient Satisfaction, Owner Satisfaction, and Medical Resources.
