Somesh Varandani
is a dynamic communication professional with a strong foundation in journalism, mass communication, event management, and organizational operations. He holds a Master’s degree in Journalism and Mass Communication, along with a Post-Graduate Diploma in the same field from Indira Gandhi National Open University. Additionally, he completed a PGDEM in Event Management and PR from the National Academy of Event Management & Development, Jaipur, reflecting his diverse academic background and keen interest in media and events. Somesh has built a multifaceted career across education, banking, media, and event industries. He is currently serving as an Admission & Outreach Associate at Poornima University, Jaipur, where he specializes in admissions counseling, outreach coordination, student engagement, and promotional communication. Previously, he worked as a Training & Placement Officer at Poornima Group, handling placement coordination, student interactions, reporting, and academic activity management. Before joining the education sector, Somesh gained significant experience in the banking industry as a Branch Digital Officer and Branch Money Officer with AU Small Finance Bank, where he developed expertise in customer services, digital banking systems, telesales, and operational management. His media journey includes roles as an Assistant Producer at IBA News Network and a legal trainee at News India 24x7, where he honed his skills in news writing, scripting, anchoring, interviews, and video editing. Parallel to his professional roles, Somesh has actively contributed to major national-level events, film festivals, weddings, and expos through extensive freelancing projects. A passionate learner and creative communicator, he continues to expand his expertise in media, management, and public engagement.
