Sinem Yeles Karaman
is an academic specializing in media, communication, and the societal impacts of emerging technologies. She serves at Konya Technical University, where her work focuses on media literacy, AI-driven communication environments, digital ethics, and misinformation studies. Her research critically examines topics such as social media addiction, media literacy and fake news, the impacts of artificial intelligence on communication practices, and, more recently, climate journalism and environmental literacy. In particular, she investigates how AI transforms contemporary media ecosystems and influences public information flows. She has contributed to various national and international academic projects and has served as a reviewer for scholarly publications. Her current research interests include AI-supported journalism, fake news detection, socio-technical systems, and ethical frameworks for responsible technology use. Dr. Yeles Karaman prioritizes developing interdisciplinary education and research models aimed at strengthening critical digital awareness in the face of rapidly advancing artificial intelligence technologies.
