Sheena Christabel Pravin
, Assistant Professor Senior Grade at Vellore Institute of Technology has over 14 years of Engineering teaching experience, with 4 years of research experience in disordered speech processing and one year of project experience at DRDO-Chennai on Acoustic and Vibration Signal Processing. She completed B.E. in Electronics and Communication Engineering, M.E. (Communication Systems) securing University rank under Anna University. During her Doctoral Program under Anna University, she had built hybrid deep learning models for disfluent speech categorization, phonation deviation assessment and speech resynthesis. She has published over 30 research papers in National and International Conferences and Journals. She has completed three funded projects under AICTE’s Research Promotion Scheme, TNSCST and SEEE Grant-in-aid scheme. She has built several speech recognition systems for various disordered speech patterns. She continues her research in the field of disfluent speech processing, speech enhancement, Artificial Intelligence, deep learning and applies her knowledge in health analytics to bring low-cost health care devices and assistive aids for the ailing.
