Shaik Asif Hussain
Shaik Asif Hussain
has served Middle East College in various roles since 2015. Presently, he is a Technology Transfer officer and Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering from January 2020 to the present. Shaik has received his PhD, M. Tech in Embedded Systems, and B. Tech degrees in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad, respectively. In addition, he earned his post-graduation certification (PGCERT) in Academic Practices of Higher Education and Pedagogy in Teaching and Learning Mechanism from Coventry University, UK, from 2016-2017. He is currently an IEEE member. His research interests include Robotics, Biomedical Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, RFID systems, Digital signal and Image processing, wireless sensor networks, IPV6 and video communications, Blockchain technology in the healthcare industry, big data Analytics, and decision-making techniques. Shaik received two research grants in 2018 and two research grants in 2022 from The Research Council (TRC) of Oman under the block funding program. Shaik was also awarded one prestigious scholarship for his doctoral studies (2011-2013) from the All-India Council of Technical Education (A.I.C.T.E), India, under the Research Promotion Scheme for $ 16000 thanks to his highest level of achievement. During his academic career, he has supervised 16 postgraduate students and published two books, 32 journals, and 30 conference papers in renowned international journals and conferences.
