Shahinaz Hanem R. Abdellatif
Shahinaz Hanem (Sherry) Abdellatif
brings over 25 years of diverse experience across academia and industry in Canada and international markets. She has an extensive background in senior advisory, financial planning, and policymaking, with a proven track record at leading financial institutions, earning multiple awards as a top advisor across Canada. She is an Associate Professor (Continuing Faculty) in the Department of Quantitative Studies at University Canada West, where she teaches corporate finance, fintech, financial planning, and investments. In addition, she serves as Vice-Chair of the Research and Scholarly Activities Committee and actively contributes to curriculum development, innovation, and training committees. Dr. Abdellatif’s teaching philosophy is grounded in a student-centered approach, where she excels as both a mentor and subject matter expert. She holds a Doctorate in Business Administration and a master’s in Business Administration from Heriot-Watt University. Her interdisciplinary research focuses on Sustainability, Fintech, AI, Blockchain, Decentralized Finance, Ethics, and Policymaking
