Semila Fernandes

Semila Fernandes holds a Ph.D. in Marketing from Symbiosis International (Deemed University) and has over 22 years of teaching experience in Marketing. She has gained valuable corporate exposure through her roles at Bajaj Allianz General Insurance Company as Executive – Direct Marketing and at ICFAI as Regional Summer Internship Coordinator. Her research expertise lies in the area of consumer behaviour. Dr. Fernandes has authored five ABDC A-category publications and 31 Scopus-indexed publications. She has also co-authored the teaching case, “Simpli Namdhari - Ripe for Invention?”, published by Ivey Publishing. In recognition of her research contributions, she received the AIMS Research & Innovation Fellowship Grant (ARIF) in 2018 for her research on xenocentrism. Additionally, a case study co-authored by her was selected as the Best Case in the Marketing category at the ISB-Ivey Global Case Competition 2017.
