Sachil Kumar
Sachil Kumar
is an accomplished academic and researcher in the field of forensic sciences, currently serving as an Associate Professor at Amity University, Noida, India. He holds a PhD in Forensic Chemistry and Forensic Medicine from King George’s Medical University, Lucknow, where his research focused on the development of an economical and sensitive method for postmortem interval estimation, utilizing cardiac Troponin-T (cTnT) degradation. His work provides a more accurate and extended time window for PMI estimation. Dr. Kumar has also supervised numerous postgraduate dissertations in forensic toxicology and analytical chemistry, with expertise in advanced techniques like gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS). He has worked as an Associate Professor at multiple institutions, including Sandip University and CHRIST University, and as an Assistant Professor at Naif Arab University in Saudi Arabia. Alongside his academic roles, Dr. Kumar has extensive editorial experience, having served as Editorial Secretary for the Arab Journal of Forensic Sciences & Forensic Medicine and as a peer reviewer for several international journals. His professional memberships include the International Alliance of Clinical and Forensic Toxicologists, the Japanese Society of Toxicology, and the Arab Society for Forensic Sciences and Forensic Medicine. Additionally, he has participated in various international workshops and training programs on research methodology, statistical analysis, and forensic toxicology. Dr. Sachil has authored numerous highly cited journal publications and conference articles on the aforementioned topics and has received several awards (International Travel Support Scheme) and grants (UGC-NET Lectureship in Forensic Sciences; UGC-Junior Research Fellowship (J.R.F.); and UGC-Senior Research Fellowship (S.R.F.) from various funding agencies, including the University Grants Commission, Government of India, UGC Ref. No.: 2003/ (NET-DEC. 2009), and Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India.
