Rukiye Altin
Rukiye Altin
is a Postdoctoral Researcher at Kiel University, specializing in computer science education and information ethics. She hold a bachelor’s, master’s, and Ph.D. in Computer Science Education from Bilkent University and Middle East Technical University. With 10 years of K–12 teaching experience, she has developed a deep understanding of students’ needs in diverse learning environments. She is an active member of the Computer Science Education Research Group at Kiel University, which enables her to engage with a wide range of research projects and stay current in the field. As the Global Chair of ACM-W and former Chair of ACM-W Europe, she is a long-time advocate for gender equality and diversity in informatics. Her leadership in ACM-W connects her to a broad international network, fostering collaboration across education, technology, and policy communities to support women and underrepresented groups in computing.
