Revathi Srinivas
Revathi Srinivas
is a Professor in the Department of Materials Development, Testing and Evaluation, in the School of English Language Education at the English and Foreign Languages University, Hyderabad, India. She holds a doctoral degree from Osmania University in curriculum evaluation studies. She has authored Teaching Young Learners: A Handbook for English Language Teachers, Communicating Effectively in English (Books I, II and IV) and Let’s Talk (Books I, II, and III). She has co-authored chapters/units for various books, manuals, and materials packages for distance education. She brings expertise in teaching young learners, Task-based Language Teaching, curriculum development studies, and designing, evaluating, and adapting instructional materials. Revathi is a Fulbright-Nehru Postdoctoral Fellow. Her research project aimed to evaluate and compare two Alternative Education programmes (India and the US), offered for marginalized children, to arrive at a better understanding of the dynamics in English language pedagogy at the primary and upper primary levels.
