Rebecca M. Giles
, Ph.D., is a Professor of Early Childhood Education in the Department of Leadership and Teacher Education at the University of South Alabama in Mobile, AL. She has spoken and published widely regarding early childhood pedagogy, teacher preparation, and early literacy. She is the author of Write Now! Publishing with Young Authors, Pre-K through Grade 2 (2007, Heinemann) and A Young Writer's World: Creating Classrooms Where Authors Abound (2020, Exchange Press).
