Rajashree S. Kini
Dr.
Rajashree S Kini
currently serves as an Associate Professor and the Coordinator of the Department of Allied Hospitality Studies at WGSHA, MAHE, Manipal. In addition to her teaching role, she actively contributes to various academic and administrative responsibilities. She is a member of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), oversees MHM admissions, participates in the WGSHA Career Development Cell, and manages alumni relations. Before her current role, Dr. Kini held the position of Associate Professor in the Department of P.G. Studies and Research in Law at SDM Law College, Mangalore. Her extensive academic journey also included positions at MBA Department of MITE, Moodbidri, School of Management, Manipal, and NITK, Surathkal, Mangalore. During her tenure at SDM Law College, Mangalore, she assumed various roles, such as the Coordinator of the Department of P.G. Studies and Research in Law, member of the Finance and Audit Committee, IQAC member, member of the Board of Studies for Add-on Courses, and Head of the Counseling Cell. Dr. Kini boasts an impressive educational background, holding a Ph.D. in Organizational Ethics and Human Resource, an MBA in Finance, an LLM in International Business Law, a PGDIT in IT, and an MSc in Psychology. Her diverse professional experience includes working as an HR consultant and Project Manager for a private company for 1.5 years and practicing as an advocate for seven years in the Mangalore Bar under the guidance of Advocate Mr. Ranjan Rao. She has made significant contributions to academic literature, including a chapter in the book 'The Scanner,' which focuses on solving previous years' question papers on income tax of Mangalore University. Additionally, she co-authored a book titled 'Personal Growth and Interpersonal Effectiveness,' which serves as a textbook for MBA students under VTU. Dr. Kini has also published a chapter titled 'Analyzing the Challenges of Government Schemes/Initiatives on Skill Development in India' in the book 'Skill Development - A Key to Nation Building.' Her dedication to research is evident through her participation in over 20 research papers presented and published in national and international conferences and journals. Beyond academia, Dr. Rajashree is a passionate counselor for youth and a facilitator for 'Personality Development in Employability Skills.' She has conducted numerous training sessions for students pursuing MBA, CA, Engineering, and undergraduate degrees, as well as for faculty members through Faculty Development Programs (FDPs). She also serves as the Soft Skills Facilitator at the 'World Konkani Centre' in Mangalore, and her expertise has led her to deliver many guest lectures as a resource person on topics related to management, commerce, law, personality development, and psychology.
