Rachna Chandan
Dr.
Rachna Chandan
is the Assistant Professor and Head of the Housekeeping Department at Banarsidas Chandiwala Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (BCIHMCT), New Delhi. With a Ph.D. from Banasthali Vidyapeeth, Jaipur, Rajasthan, she brings 20 years of expertise in academia and the hospitality industry. She employs a research-based experiential learning approach to teaching, ensuring consistent academic success. Dr. Chandan excels in developing curriculum and course content, coordinating examination processes, and offering special classes for campus preparation sessions. As Editor of the ‘Voice of Housekeepers’ e-infozine by the Professional Housekeepers Association, she has successfully published two issues. Additionally, she edits the ‘YUVA - the essence of hospitality’ e-newsletter by BCIHMCT, with 15 issues published. She also serves as Joint Editor of the ‘Indian Journal of Applied Hospitality Tourism Research’ and contributes to the editorial team for the India International Hotel, Travel & Tourism Research Conference book published by BCIHMCT.
