Deepak R
., is currently Head of the Department of Department & Associate Professor in the Department of Management Studies, at the Ramaiah Institute of Technology. He completed his Ph.D. in Finance from Manipal University. His thesis extended the existing literature on calendar anomalies by considering indices (broad and sectoral) over a longer time frame. The thesis was recognized for the Best Ph.D. Thesis award in a management paper presentation at the Prestige Institute of Management and Research, Indore, on the occasion of the thirteenth best Ph.D. thesis award in management and the Tenth International Conference on Quality Education, Entrepreneurship, and Exemplary Business Practices for Social Change. He obtained his MBA from Marshall University, West Virginia, USA. He was the recipient of the Best Student Award in Academics and Soft Skills in an MBA. He has 16+ years of teaching experience and has published/presented more than 50 papers on investments, behavioral finance, and business analytics at national and international conferences (India and abroad). He conducted more than 40 FDPs and workshops in Business Analytics, Behavioral Finance, Time Series Analytics, Machine Learning using R and Python programming, and data visualization using Excel, R, and Python. He has completed 100 hours of Artificial Intelligence (AI) foundation courses at NASSCOM Future Skills. He is currently recognized as a research guide at VTU and is a guiding research scholar in the area of behavioral finance.
