Qazi Mudassar Ilyas
Qazi Mudassar Ilyas
received his Ph.D. in Information and Communication Engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, China, in 2005, after completing his BS and MS from the University of Agriculture, Faisalabad, Pakistan. He has over two decades of teaching and research experience across Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Brunei Darussalam. Dr. Ilyas has held academic positions at leading institutions including GIK Institute, the University of the Punjab, and COMSATS University in Pakistan. He served at King Faisal University, Saudi Arabia, from 2010 to 2025, where he contributed to international accreditation and academic quality initiatives in addition to teaching and research. Currently, he is an Associate Professor of AI at Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA), Brunei Darussalam. His research focuses on machine learning, knowledge management, information retrieval, and generative AI. He has published widely in reputed journals and continues to explore the intersection of AI, education, and Islamic values in higher education.
