Paran Jyoti Borpatra
Paran Jyoti Borpatra
is currently working as D. S. Kothari Post-Doctoral Fellow (DSKPDF) under Prof. Satyendra Kumar Pandey at Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, India. His is working in the field of synthetic methodology and C-H functionalization. He was born in Lakhimpur district of Assam, India. He obtained his Ph.D degree (2020) under the supervision of Dr. Pranjal Kumar Baruah at Gauhati University, Assam, working in the area of organic synthesis especially C-H activation reactions, multicomponent reactions. Dr. Borpatra completed a two years research project as JRF under ‘DBT’s Twinning Program for the NE’ titled “De Novo Rationally Designed Curcumin Derived Analogues for Increased Bioavailability and Its Metal Analogues for Anticancer and Protective Studies” under the guidance of Dr. Pranjal Kumar Baruah. His current research area is C-H functionalization and development of novel methodologies for heterocyclic molecules. He has also co-authored a number of publications in journals with good impact.
