Norkhairiah Hashim
Norkhairiah Hashim
is a Senior Assistant Professor of halal studies at the Halalan Thayyiban Research Centre, Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali, Brunei Darussalam. She holds a PhD in Islamic Education from Universiti Brunei Darussalam. She has more than 20 years of teaching experience and was awarded a Special Mention Award in Islamic Education in conjunction with the Teacher’s Day Celebration in 2009. Her research interests include skills teaching and learning, Islamic and halal education, contemporary issues on halal products and services and maqasid syariah in the halal industries. Her recent publication in the International Journal of Academic Research in Progressive Education and Development on the article titled The Position of Maqasid Daruriyyah in Addressing the Halal Status of Food Product Innovations Today.
