Nazlı Ayşe Ayyıldız Ünnü

Ayyıldız Ünnü received her Ph.D. in Business Administration from the Institute of Social Sciences at Ege University in 2012. She has been a faculty member at the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences since 2006, where she was promoted to Professor and currently serves as Chair of the International Management Department. In addition, she has served as Coordinator of the university’s Human Resources Unit and as Departmental Coordinator for the Erasmus+ Program for four years. She has been part of many consultancy projects in her home country such as reorganization of a Family-Owned Business (FOB), and Designing Human Resources Management System. Her scholarly interests range widely, from management and organization generally to Human Resources Management, Leadership, Gender Roles, Decision Making, Innovation and Entrepreneurship specifically. She has presented many papers at both international and national conferences and all of her papers have been published as proceedings. Besides, she has articles published in national and international refereed journals. She and her colleagues got Best Paper Award with the paper titled “Management Fads and Fashion In Turkey: Role of Consulting Firms on Dissemination Process of Strategic Management Tools”, presented at International Strategic Management Conference in 2007. She got Young Academician Incentive Award, 2015, which is given based on the academic performance annually by a Scientific Committee at Ege University, Faculty of Economics & Administrative Sciences. Her recent research, conducted in collaboration with two colleagues, titled “Gender of Turkish Academia” was also awarded by Turkish Researchers’ Association ( ) in 2016. Finally, she was awarded a three-month scholarship, funded by DAAD (Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst- German Academic Exchange Service) to conduct a research project, entitled “The Dynamics of Academic Employment in The Light of Gender Roles: A Comparative Perspective on German and Turkish Universities”.
