Muhammad Zahid
Muhammad Zahid
(PhD) is currently working as Dean of the Faculty of Transport and Logistics at Muscat University, Oman. Before joining Muscat University, he served as a Professor and Dean of Management Sciences at the Bahria Business School, Bahria University, Pakistan. He also has experience serving the Department of Management Sciences at the City University of Science and IT, Peshawar, Pakistan, as a Professor and Dean of the Faculty of Management Sciences. He obtained his Postdoctoral Fellowship from Universiti Malaysia Kelantan and a PhD in Management from Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS Malaysia. He received his MS in Management and Master of Commerce degrees from Pakistan earlier. After completing his master's degree, he served in the banking industry for eight years as a branch and customer services manager. His area of concentration is corporate sustainability and financial performance. He has published two books in the area of sustainability and numerous research papers in indexed journals. For his outstanding research work, he has been awarded “The Award for Excellence- 2016 Outstanding Journal Papers from Emerald Group Publishing” and the Best Paper Award (2014) in the International Symposium on Research in Innovation and Sustainability 2014 (ISoRIS' 14), 15-16 October 2014, Malacca, Malaysia. Moreover, he has experience in editorship and is an invited reviewer for well-reputed journals in the fields of management, corporate sustainability, corporate governance, finance, gender in management, financial performance, sustainable development goals, and education for sustainable development. He has also supervised more than 30 research students and worked on several research grants in the aforementioned areas with academic institutions in Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan. He also has expertise in working with regulatory bodies such as the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) in designing sustainability guidelines and reports in the business and academic domains (Impact Ranking).
