Muhammad Rapi
, M.S. is a distinguished academic and Professor at the Faculty of Language and Literature at Universitas Negeri Makassar (UNM). Born on December 30, 1960, in Enrekeng, Kabupaten Soppeng, he has dedicated his career to the advancement of Indonesian language and literature. He completed his undergraduate studies at IKIP Ujung Pandang in 1986, followed by a Master’s degree and a Doctorate in Literature from Universitas Padjadjaran, achieved in 1991 and 2001, respectively. Prof. Rapi specializes in philology, literary history, and hermeneutics, and has made significant contributions to the field through his research, focusing on themes such as nationalism in classical literature and the readability of educational texts. His scholarly work includes numerous publications in reputable journals, addressing critical issues in language education and cultural representation. In addition to his teaching responsibilities, Prof. Rapi is actively involved in community service initiatives aimed at improving educational practices and promoting cultural literacy. He has authored several influential books, including works on Bugis literature and the integration of cultural discourse in language education. His extensive experience and dedication to the field position him as a leading figure in the promotion of Indonesian literature and education.
