Dr. Mohammad Badruddoza Talukder
is a distinguished academic, researcher, and industry professional, currently serving as Associate Professor and Chair of the College of Tourism and Hospitality Management (CTHM) at the International University of Business Agriculture and Technology (IUBAT), Dhaka, Bangladesh. With a strong academic foundation and extensive professional experience, he has established himself as a prominent voice in tourism, hospitality, and technology-driven innovation. He earned his Ph.D. in Hotel Management from Lovely Professional University, India, where his research focused on the transformative role of emerging technologies in reshaping the global tourism and hospitality landscape. Since beginning his academic career in 2008, Dr. Talukder has remained deeply committed to teaching excellence, research advancement, and academic leadership.
Recognised among the top 2% of Scientists in the World, Dr. Talukder’s scholarly contributions have gained significant international visibility and impact. His research primarily explores the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), Blockchain, and other emerging digital technologies within tourism, hospitality, and aviation. He is particularly interested in how these technologies can enhance operational efficiency, improve service quality, optimise guest experiences, and support the development of smart tourism ecosystems. His work also addresses sustainability challenges by examining how digital innovations can support environmentally responsible, resource-efficient hospitality practices. Prior to fully transitioning into academia, he held several managerial positions in reputed business-class hotels in Bangladesh, particularly in food and beverage management.
