Miriam Evans
Dr.
Miriam Evans
is an Assistant Professor of Health Education in the Department of Health Sciences and Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) Director at South Carolina State University. Dr. Evans earned a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from Columbia College (South Carolina), a Master of Education in Education/Mathematics from South Carolina State University, and a Doctor of Education in Health Education Administration from the University of South Carolina. She holds a Masters Certified Health Education Specialist certification. Her career spans over 20 years in both public health and higher education. Her research interests include the implementation and evaluation of community health promotion programs, Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias, children’s environmental health, and student learning and success outcomes.
