Mirco D'Alessio
Mirco D'Alessio
has been collaborating since 2018 with the Department of Civil Engineering, Construction, and Architecture at the Università Politecnica delle Marche. His research focuses on digital surveying and extended reality (XR) in the cultural heritage field, with particular attention to the design and analysis of emotional elements within immersive experiences. He has participated in several international conferences and published multiple peer-reviewed scientific articles. He graduated with honors in Building Engineering–Architecture in 2018 (summa cum laude) and earned a PhD in 2023 with a dissertation titled “New Paradigms for the Communication of Digital Cultural Heritage: An Innovative Pipeline for the Conscious Design of Immersive and Emotional Experiences.” Alongside his research, he has been involved in teaching activities, co-supervising several thesis projects. As of 2025, he serves as adjunct professor in Game Design and Animation at the Università Politecnica delle Marche.
