Mikhail Lobanov
is Deputy Director for Research and a Senior Research Fellow at the Institute of Economics, Russian Academy of Sciences in Moscow. His main fields of research are problems of socio-economic and political development in Central-Eastern and South-Eastern Europe, evolution of the world economy, regional economics and regional economic policy in Russia and abroad, the EU enlargement and processes of integration in Eurasia, functional and territorial organization of industry and agriculture, varieties of capitalist relations, development of trade and investment relation ships between Russia, CIS and Eastern European countries, complex country studies (with the focus on the Balkan countries).
