Michelle Whitmore

Michelle Whitmore is currently in the middle of a part-time PhD thesis with the Institute for Culture and Society at Western Sydney University. Her research topic, Imagineering a world with less plastic waste: A Disney case study, combines her interests in environmental management and tourism with her passion for all things Disney. Michelle brings to her research over 20-years’ experience in government and research sectors, leading complex projects and applying deep understanding of government systems, policies, and processes. Her work has spanned sustainable, environmental, waste, event, and tourism management. She has a Bachelor of Applied Science in Environmental Management and Tourism from Western Sydney University and a Bachelor of Antarctic Studies (Honours) from the University of Tasmania.
