Mattius W. Rischard

Mattius Rischard was a graduate teaching associate for the English and Political Science departments, as well as a Graduate Assistant Director conducting research for the UA Writing Program. He currently works at the intersections of African American and Urban Anglophone literatures as they relate to the politics of cultural production and representation. As a PhD Fellow, he is a contributor to journals on writing andragogy and pedagogy, as well as the redefining volume on intersectional studies of politics in Anglophone literature, The Routledge Companionto Literature and Class (2021), and currently completing a monograph on the literary history and stakes of American street literature. Mattius has published widely in journals and edited volumes in the fields of Comparative Urban Literature, Postcolonial Studies, Film Criticism, Performance Studies, and Digital Humanities.
