Maria Drossinou Korea
Maria Korea
is an Assistant Professor, in the field of “Special Education and Training” (Government Gazette 1603/31.12.18 t. 3). Maria Drossinou-Korea is a graduate of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. She prepared her doctoral thesis at the Department of Clinical Psychology of the Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences on the subject of Organization and Mechanisms of Child Delinquency through Psychological and Social Structures. She supported in 1999 with the distinction of Excellent. She has been working as a special educator for more than four decades and has served as dean of the Pedagogical Institute during the years 2000-2011. From 2002 until today, it supports students with special educational needs, with disabilities and specific learning difficulties [Dyslexia, ADHD], with autism at the Agricultural University of Athens. From the academic year 2008-2009 (initially as P.D. 407/80 and later as an assistant professor) she teaches special education subjects in the undergraduate study programs of the School of Humanities and Cultural Studies, at the University of Peloponnese.
