Manjappa Kiran Kumar
Dr.
Kiran Kumar M
earned his B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from University BDT College of Engineering, followed by an M.Tech in Thermal Power Engineering and a Ph.D. in I.C. Engine Fuels and Combustion Systems. He is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Sir Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology, Bengaluru, Karnataka, affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU). His research has been published in prestigious journals, including those indexed by SCOPUS, UGC, and other international databases. Innovative contributions to the field are highlighted by five national patents and one international patent. Additionally, he is the author of the textbook Advancements in Electric and Hybrid Vehicles. Active participation in international conferences, where numerous research articles have been presented, reflects a strong commitment to scientific collaboration. Practical engineering experience includes mentoring and leading teams in competitions such as the “Shell Eco-marathon” in the Asia Pacific region and designing a supercar for the “SAE Student F-1 Race Car” competition. With a wealth of experience in Mechanical Engineering, his diverse research interests and contributions to both academia and practical engineering projects underscore a significant dedication to the field.
