Mamta Singh

Mamta Singh MSc, PhD (Biochemistry) is a Professor of Biochemistry in the Department of Basic Sciences at Sri Ramachandra Faculty of Allied Health Sciences (SRMC & RI), Chennai, India. With over 14 years of pedagogical and scientific expertise, she has made substantial contributions to clinical biochemistry and molecular diagnostics. Dr. Singh obtained her Ph.D. in Medical Biochemistry from PGIMS, Pt. B.D. Sharma Health & Science University, Rohtak. Her scientific interests encompass oxidative stress, metabolic disorders, endocrinology, and hepatic illnesses. She has authored over 15 publications in esteemed national and international journals. Significant contributions encompass research on oxidative and nitrosative stress in chronic obstructive lung disease, biochemical analyses of polycystic ovarian syndrome, and metabolic dysregulation in coronary syndrome and diabetes. Dr. Singh has had academic roles in prestigious colleges around India, such as K.R. College of Health Sciences (Bangalore), PDM Dental College (Haryana), and Maitri College of Dentistry (Chhattisgarh). Her technical expertise includes molecular biology, RT-PCR, HPLC, spectrophotometry, and enzymatic tests. Dr. Singh, a fervent educator and mentor, perpetuates innovation in biomedical science and education via her commitment to research and student-focused learning.
