Mallikharjuna Rao Jitta
Jitta Mallikharjuna Rao
is a Ph.D. Research Scholar in Marketing stream at the GITAM School of Business, GITAM (Deemed to be University), Visakhapatnam, India. His educational background includes a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Mechanical Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, which he obtained in 1994. He started his professional career as a Management Trainee (Technical) at Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL)/Durgapur Steel Plant in 1995 and worked till 1998 as Junior Manager. He later joined at Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited(RINL)/Vizag Steel Plant, in Visakhapatnam. He has pursued his Master of Business of Administration (MBA) from Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) while working at Vizag Steel Plant. From 1998 to 2006, he held various positions in Steel Making Operations of Vizag Steel Plant. In 2007 Jitta assumed the role of Technical Advisor to Chairman cum Managing Director of RINL, marking a transition to the corporate office, and worked till August 2024. In August 2024, he was transferred to the IT&ERP Department and is currently working as Deputy General Manager in Sales and Distribution (S&D) module on ERP platform (SAP ECC 6.0) at RINL. Concurrently, he has embarked on a part-time Ph.D. journey at GITAM Deemed to be University, focusing his research endeavours on marketing.
